What is Kindermusik?
Kindermusik is a community of families and educators passionately committed to bringing music to children's lives through developmentally appropriate curricula, music, books, instruments, and activities.
Kindermusik's philosophy is founded upon rigorous research and our fundamental beliefs:
- A parent or loving caregiver is a child's first and most important teacher.
- All children are musical.
- The home is the most important learning environment.
- Music nurtures a child's cognitive, emotional, social, language, and physical development.
- Children flourish in a child-centered environment where activities are developmentally appropriate.
- Educators value the learning process -- not the performance-- of music making.
- Every child should experience the joy, fun, and learning that music brings to life.
What your child will experience in class:
- Songs and rhymes to develop phonetic awareness and early reading skills
- Tapping, clacking, and ringing rhythm instruments in time with music to improve hand-eye coordination
- Focused listening with music to improve skills in following directions
- Instrument play to strengthen fine motor skills
- Developmentally-appropriate songs to develop vocal chords and expressive speech
- Learning that emphasizes storytelling, imaginative play, and taking turns
Registration includes:
- Developmentally appropriate curriculum for newborns to 5 year olds
- 14-week semester with weekly 45-minute class
- At Home Materials Kit for the semester (see specific class curricula for details)

  Gina League, licensed Kindermusik educator, earned her Bachelor of Music in Education from Furman University in Greenville, SC, and she has completed graduate studies in early childhood education and church music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. Miss Gina has more than 20 years' experience teaching music (instrumental, vocal, and general music) to children of all ages privately, in church choirs, and in private school.
Miss Gina loves to see the sparkle in a child's eyes as they experience the magic and joy that music can bring, and she wholeheartedly believes in the rich rewards of early music education as outlined in the Kindermusik philosophy above.
